Values

The values of Rainbow Driver Training are important to us. We aim to maintain a first time pass rate well above the national and local average. We have achieved this for all of the 30 years that Rainbow Driver Training has been teaching people to pass the driving test. It is difficult for prospective pupils to find out the pass rate of a driving school. There is no independent way to validate any pass rate claims made by driving schools.

We will not encourage you to take more lessons than are required for you to have a very good chance of passing the practical test. We aim to set the prices of our driving lessons at a level where we are competitive and almost fully booked. We may have a short waiting list for busy times of the week.  So we have nothing to gain from making you take more lessons than you need. However you should remember that the practical driving test is harder to pass than it was 10 or 20 years ago. Please contact us for our current prices.

You can take your lessons individually so that you do not need to book 2 hour lessons We will always offer discounts for block bookings.

Very intensive courses tend not good value because the pass rate for pupils taking a very intensive course is lower than those for pupils learning at a more steady pace. Therefore we will teach pupils a maximum of 10 hours practical lessons per week.

We will allow you to borrow videos and books from our library ‘free of charge’.

It is very rare for us to cancel a driving lesson. We do expect that you give us reasonable warning if you cancel a lesson.

All of your lessons will be taught by a Diamond Advanced Instructor. This is a driving instructor who has passed both extended practical and theory tests in addition to the minimum legal requirement. There are around 38,000 driving instructors in the UK. Only 1 in every 1000 instructors (approximately) are female instructors qualified to this standard.

The driving school is a member of the Driving Instructors Association (DIA). We abide by the DIA’s code of conduct.

We hope that you are happy with your choice of driving school whoever you decide to choose.
