Salisbury Driving School
Rainbow Driver Training
We are a Salisbury Driving School that has been successfully teaching pupils to pass the driving test. We have been operating in the Salisbury area for 30 years. Our first time pass rate is much higher than the national average. The national average pass rate is usually around 50%. The pass rate in Salisbury is similar. The government does not publish driving school or driving instructor pass rates.
The government regularly checks all driving instructors. Rainbow Driver Training was assessed as 49/51 which is 96%. We have also signed up to the Approved Driving Instructors Code of Practice and Continuing Professional Development. You can see this for yourself on the government website, https://www.gov.uk/find-driving-schools-and-lessons
Please read through the values of our business before you decide to book lessons with us. The training you receive will be offered by a Diamond Advanced Instructor in a modern air-conditioned dual-controlled car. The driving school does not use trainee instructors.
To obtain a driving licence a pupil will need to pass both the theory and practical tests. Having passed the practical test the pupil can then go on to take the Pass Plus course.
From Monday 4 December 2017 the practical driving test has changed. There are 4 major changes as follows,
- The Independent driving part of the test will increase to 20 minutes
- Most pupils will follow directions from a sat nav
- Reversing manoeuvres have changed to include 1 of 3 possible ones
- While you’re driving a vehicle safety question will be asked
